    Waitrose has reported an unexpected increase in sales of winter comfort foods, such as cottage pies and gratins, despite ongoing heatwaves in the UK. Sales of cottage pies rose by 110%, while chicken and ham gratin and South African red wine increased by 68%. Customers are reportedly experiencing 'feta fatigue', opting for hearty meals over summer salads.
