    In the second quarter of 2026, home completions in Ireland fell by 3.6% compared to the same period in 2025, totaling 8,823 new homes. Despite this decline, overall completions for the first half of the year increased to 16,679 homes. The government anticipates improved housing supply in 2026, aiming for 300,000 homes by 2030.
