    New home registrations in Northern Ireland dropped by 22% in Q2 2026 compared to the previous year, according to NHBC data. Only 598 homes were registered, down from 768 in Q2 2025. The decline reflects broader UK trends, with rising costs and geopolitical uncertainty impacting the housing market. The UK saw a total of 29,162 new registrations, a 4% decrease.
