    As the Tiber River's flow drops to below 80 cubic metres per second, ancient ruins of Nero’s Bridge have surfaced near St Peter’s Basilica. This decline in water levels, attributed to prolonged dry spells, highlights a significant water crisis in Rome. Archaeologists note the bridge may predate Nero, dating back to 39 AD, built during Caligula's reign.
