    Man dies in Cork river incident

    A man in his 50s has died after getting into difficulty in the River Bandon at Dunmanway, Co Cork. Emergency services responded to reports of a person in the water. The man was recovered but pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Authorities have been notified.
