    Ponzi Scheme Defrauds 115 Victims

    Steven Long and Raymond Simpson were sentenced for defrauding 115 victims, mainly pensioners, out of £11.5 million in a Ponzi scheme via Long's wealth management firm, Universal. Long received an eight-year and four-month sentence, while Simpson was sentenced to five and a half years in absentia. A warrant for Simpson's arrest has been issued.
