    In June, Irish holidaymakers spent €51 million in Spain, making it the top overseas destination according to AIB's Spend Trend report. The UK followed with €44 million. Overall, AIB customers' card spending increased by 4% compared to last year, with notable rises in sectors like sporting goods and beauty services, attributed to a heatwave.
