    Sky Ireland fined €250,000 for contract cancellations

    Sky Ireland has been penalized €250,000 by communications regulator ComReg for breaches related to contract cancellations. The investigation, initiated in December 2024, revealed customer complaints about long wait times and difficulties in reaching agents to cancel services. ComReg found that Sky's procedures discouraged customers from changing providers, violating the European Electronic Communications Code.
