    Shop price inflation in the UK remained steady at 1.2% in June, according to the British Retail Consortium and NIQ. Food inflation decreased to 2.4%, while non-food inflation rose slightly to 0.6%. The easing of food prices is attributed to bumper local crops and competitive pricing. Oil prices have also dropped, potentially easing cost-of-living pressures.
