    Cervical Cancer Campaigner Eileen Rushe Passes Away

    Eileen Rushe, a cervical cancer campaigner from Bettystown, Co Meath, died in September 2021 at age 35 after being diagnosed in December 2018. She received an apology and settlement from the HSE for care failings. Her sister praised her selflessness in advocating for cervical screenings and the HPV vaccine, benefiting others. Rushe is survived by her son, Seamus.
