    Petrol prices hit highest since 2022

    Petrol prices have reached their highest level since the onset of the Iran conflict, with unleaded costing 159.97p per litre and diesel at 178.97p. Filling an average family car with unleaded now costs £88. The increase follows a rise of 9p since July 6, with diesel up 14.5p since July 9. Experts predict further increases in diesel prices.
