    Ofcom Proposes Blocking Openreach Customer Deal

    Ofcom has provisionally found that Openreach's new customer offer, which provides discounts to internet service providers for bringing in new customers, may harm competition. The regulator argues that the deal unfairly targets new customers and could lead to higher prices in the long run. A consultation on the proposal will continue until August 27, with a final decision expected by September's end.
