    New Housing Shortfall Expected Until 2035

    Stockbroking firm Davy has lowered its forecast for housing completions in 2026 to 44,000 homes, down from 50,000. The shortfall in new builds is projected to continue until 2035 due to lower housing commencements. Davy also forecasts 42,000 homes for next year, indicating supply will remain below overall requirements despite a strong economy and growth in national income.
