    Irish Cyclist Abandons Everest Journey Due to Monsoon

    Daragh Cronin, a 23-year-old from Cork, has halted his 12,500km charity cycling journey to Everest base camp after 143 days due to severe monsoon conditions in India, including landslides and flooding. He has raised €12,000 for Cork University Hospital’s children’s unit and plans to resume his trek in October, aiming for a total of €30,000.
