    Interest on Ireland's national debt to double by 2030

    The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) reports that Ireland's national debt interest payments are projected to rise from €3 billion to €6 billion by 2030. The NTMA attributes this increase to the end of record low interest rates and warns that the country's debt level could pose challenges. Ireland's national debt currently stands at €210 billion.
