    Personal loans exceed €3 billion for first time

    The value of personal loans in Ireland surpassed €3 billion for the first time in a 12-month period, according to new figures from the Banking and Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI). A total of 281,814 loans were drawn down, with significant increases in car finance and home improvement loans. The average personal loan value rose to €11,316.
