    New Eating Disorder Unit Planned for Roscommon Hospital

    The Irish government has announced plans for a six-bed specialist eating disorder unit at Roscommon University Hospital. This initiative, confirmed by Minister of State for Mental Health Mary Butler, is part of a larger 50-bed psychiatric facility aimed at improving adult eating disorder services in the region. The unit is included in the HSE’s National Development Plan for 2026-2030.
