    Derek Boyd convicted of Mark Carroll's murder

    Derek Boyd, 31, has been found guilty of murdering Mark Carroll, 34, in Finglas, Dublin, during a violent altercation on June 9, 2024. Boyd claimed self-defense after Carroll allegedly threatened him. The jury deliberated for nearly nine hours before reaching a unanimous verdict. Boyd will face a mandatory life sentence next Tuesday.
