    Fr. Frank Fahey, priest, dies at 90

    Fr. Frank Fahey, a prominent priest and advocate for Ballintubber Abbey, passed away at 90 on the day construction began on a new visitor center. He served as Curate for 34 years, enhancing the abbey's status as a pilgrimage site. Fahey was instrumental in restoring the Tóchar Phádraig Pilgrim Path and initiating the Ballintubber Passion Play. His funeral is scheduled for July 20.
