    IAG profits fall over a third due to fuel costs

    International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways, reported a significant drop in pre-tax profits, falling to 995 million euro (£852 million) for the three months ending June. This represents a decline of over a third compared to the previous year, primarily due to rising fuel costs linked to the Middle East conflict. Revenue remained stable at 8.9 billion euro (£7.6 billion).
