    A study by Australia's eSafety regulator found that over 81% of teenagers continued using social media three months after a government ban on under-16s began. Despite a decline in account ownership from 52% to 42%, many under-16s retained or created accounts due to ineffective age checks. The report noted minimal changes in social activities and decreased parental awareness.
