    Galway City Council Parking Revenue Declines

    Galway City Council reported a revenue decline of nearly €400,000 in parking income during the latter half of 2025 after switching to an app-based payment system. Revenue fell from €1,886,233 in July-December 2024 to €1,504,766 in the same period in 2025, raising concerns about accessibility for users. A review of parking data is planned for August.
