    Valerie's Law on Guardianship Rights Passes Dáil

    The Dáil has approved 'Valerie's Law', which prevents killers from retaining guardianship rights over their children after murdering the other parent. Named after Valerie French, who was killed by her husband in 2019, the legislation ensures that such individuals cannot automatically keep custody. The law applies to both married and unmarried couples.
