    A UK coroner has ruled that Nobby Stiles, a 1966 World Cup-winning footballer, developed dementia due to repeated heading of the ball. Stiles, who passed away in 2020, suffered from Alzheimer's and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). His family is advocating for better support for former players and raising concerns about football authorities' negligence regarding brain injury risks.
