    Ireland Reduces VAT for Hospitality Sector

    Starting July 1, Ireland will lower the VAT rate for the hospitality sector from 13.5% to 9% to support businesses. New EU customs rules will also impose a €3 duty on parcels valued at €150 or less from outside the EU. Ireland will begin its six-month Presidency of the Council of the EU, coordinating various negotiations and meetings.
