    State Apology for Bill Kenneally's Abuse Survivors

    Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan announced a State apology on July 14 for survivors of Bill Kenneally, a convicted paedophile who died in prison. A Commission of Investigation revealed significant failures by An Garda Síochána in addressing Kenneally's abuse of 15 boys from 1979 to 1990, known to senior officers since 1987.
