    A new study reveals that the builders of Stonehenge likely utilized wooden tracks, akin to a railway, to move large stones to the site, particularly over wetland areas. This challenges the previous theory of rolling stones on timber posts. The construction, which began around 5,000 years ago, involved transporting bluestones from Wales and sarsen stones from Marlborough Downs.
