    A survivor of Bill Kenneally, a convicted paedophile, described the State apology as a 'momentous day' that will provide closure for victims. The Government's formal apology follows a Commission of Investigation revealing serious failures by gardaí in handling abuse allegations. Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan will address the Dáil, acknowledging the suffering of survivors and their families.
