    Westport House redevelopment begins with €65.5 million investment

    The redevelopment of Westport House in County Mayo has officially started with a sod-turning ceremony. The project, costing €65.5 million, is backed by €36 million from Fáilte Ireland and €29.5 million from the Hughes family. It aims to enhance heritage attractions and is expected to draw an additional 1.1 million visitors over the next decade, boosting regional spending.
