    Housing Shortfall to Last Until 2035, Says Davy

    Stockbroking firm Davy has lowered its forecast for housing completions in 2026 to 44,000 homes, down from 50,000. The shortfall in new builds is expected to continue until 2035 due to lower housing commencements. Despite this, Davy projects economic growth of 5% for 2026 and 2027, with resilient consumer spending and substantial budget surpluses.
