    £10m British govt payout over IRA double agents

    The British government has agreed to pay £10 million to families affected by its double agents in the IRA. This includes those abducted, murdered, or interrogated, with Freddie Scappaticci, known as Stakeknife, being a key figure. The settlement is pending approval by the Northern Ireland Policing Board and follows extensive legal negotiations.
