    Park ranger to appeal wife's murder conviction

    James Kilroy, convicted of murdering his wife Valerie French Kilroy in 2019, is set to appeal his conviction early next year. The 53-year-old former park ranger was sentenced to life after a jury rejected his insanity defense. His appeal hearing is scheduled for January 19, 2027, following two previous trials that collapsed due to difficulties in evidence presentation.
