    No fines for underage e-scooter riders, Gardai confirm

    Gardai have confirmed that no underage e-scooter riders have been fined since new laws were enacted over two years ago. Nearly 2,000 fixed penalty notices were issued to adult riders for reckless behavior. The legislation mandates that riders must be at least 16 years old and follow specific safety regulations. The figures were released by Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan.
