    A Blue Plaque commemorating the Waterford and Tramore Railway was unveiled on July 17, 2026, at the old railway station in Tramore. The railway, which opened in 1853, was significant for linking Waterford and Tramore. It peaked in traffic in 1952 before closing in 1960. The plaque is part of an initiative by Waterford Civic Trust to recognize historical sites.
