    Accessibility Program Enables Surfing for Disabled Children

    A new initiative in Donegal, called Making Waves, allows Teddy Boyce, a boy with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, to surf independently. The program provides beach access mats, a specialized wheelchair, and a seated surfboard, enhancing children's physical, social, and emotional well-being. Developed by HSE’s Children’s Disability Network Team and Liquid Therapy, it has received recognition and funding for future expansion.
