    Minister Rejects TB Control Plan for Deer in Wicklow

    Agriculture Minister Martin Heydon has declined to implement a specific bovine TB control plan for deer in County Wicklow, despite high infection rates. Over 20% of cattle in west Wicklow tested positive for TB. Concerns about human TB cases and food safety protocols for reactor cattle were not addressed. Local councillors expressed frustration over the lack of government engagement.
