    Man to stand trial for Karen Cummings' death

    A 44-year-old man, Kevin McGuigan, is set to stand trial for the manslaughter of children's nurse Karen Cummings, who was found unconscious with a serious head injury in December 2024. McGuigan, currently in custody, faces five charges including firearms offences. The trial is scheduled to begin on December 7, 2026, and is expected to last two weeks.
