    California Man Bitten by Rattlesnake Receives Antivenom

    Chris Howarth, a California man, was bitten twice by a rattlesnake while checking a waterline on May 26. He received a total of 54 doses of antivenom during a 12-day hospital stay, first at Oroville Hospital and then at Stanford Medical Center. After treatment, he returned home but is unable to work for an unspecified period.
