    Sligo Beaches Improve Lifeguard Staffing This Summer

    Sligo beaches have employed six full-time and nine part-time lifeguards this summer, following successful recruitment efforts. Councillor Edel McSharry emphasized the importance of water safety and called for the Rosses Point Tidal Pool to be designated as official bathing water, which is necessary for lifeguard services. Public consultation on this designation is encouraged before the September 26 deadline.
