    Legal Aid Solicitors Begin Work Stoppage

    Solicitors in Dublin have initiated a two-day work stoppage over a new payment scheme under the criminal legal aid system, which they claim is unviable. Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan expressed regret over the disruption, stating it could lead to adjournments in court proceedings. A further three-day stoppage is planned next week amid ongoing disputes.
