    Killarney National Park Wildfire Under Control

    A smoldering wildfire in Killarney National Park, which began on July 14, is being monitored by Kerry fire service and NPWS personnel. The fire has affected about 25 hectares and was initially controlled with aerial support. The N71 Molls Gap road remains closed for emergency crews as concerns about potential reignition persist. The fire is believed to have been caused by a disposable barbecue.
