    Fire crews are battling a wildfire in Killarney National Park, which started on July 14, 2026, affecting around 25 hectares. The fire was initially controlled but remains active due to high temperatures. Aerial support was deployed, and the N71 Moll’s Gap road is closed to aid firefighting efforts. Minister Christopher O’Sullivan condemned the fire as human-caused.
