    HSE Pauses Issuing Medical Cards After Cyberattack

    The Health Service Executive has halted the issuance of plastic medical cards and related healthcare cards following a cyberattack on an external card-printing provider. Although the HSE's systems were not compromised, some records were accessed. The incident has been reported to the Data Protection Commission, and provisional certificates are being issued to ensure continued access to healthcare services.
