    Iran announced that a deal with Oman regarding the control of the Strait of Hormuz is close, but it will not fully reopen the waterway. The UAE reported that Iran attacked a ship affiliated with its state oil company in the strait. A US official indicated that an agreement could restore normal oil traffic soon, contingent on US actions.
