    Invest NI chief comments on controversial board appointments

    Kieran O'Donoghue, chief executive of Invest NI, clarified his agency's lack of involvement in the appointments of former IRA prisoner Peter Lynch and ex-Sinn Féin Finance minister Máirtín Ó Muilleoir to the board. He stated that the hiring process was managed by the Department for the Economy, with the minister making final decisions based on a panel's recommendations.
