    Independent review of €50m Irish Rail project

    The National Transport Authority has initiated an independent review of a rail traffic management system abandoned by Irish Rail, costing €50m. The Spanish company Indra was contracted for the project, which was due in June 2024. The review aims to assess governance and oversight, with findings expected in September, while Irish Rail seeks to limit financial exposure.
