    Man Killed by Crocodile in Northern Territory

    In December 2003, 22-year-old Brett Mann was killed by a 13-foot saltwater crocodile while bathing in the Finniss River, Northern Territory, Australia. His friends, aged 19, escaped by climbing a tree and were trapped for 22 hours. Authorities searched for Mann's remains but were unsuccessful. The crocodile was later believed to have been shot by wildlife rangers.
