    The Irish government, led by Minister Jack Chambers, has declared it will not agree to a new public sector pay deal unless it aligns with the fiscal framework of Budget 2027. Unions have raised concerns about the lack of negotiation basis following the expiration of the previous pay agreement, which allowed increases of up to 10.25%.
