    Irish Government Issues Fuel Support Payments

    The Irish government has started distributing fuel support payments totaling €1,035,606 to over 970 farmers and agricultural contractors in Meath under the Fuel Income Support Scheme. This initiative addresses rising fuel costs from spring 2026, with average payments around €4,000 for contractors and over €600 for farmers. Nationally, €20.7 million is being allocated, with total payments expected to reach €27 million.
