    Former Chelsea owner Ken Bates dies at 94

    Ken Bates, the former owner and chairman of Chelsea Football Club, has passed away at the age of 94. Bates, who bought Chelsea for a pound in 1982, served as chairman for 22 years, leading the club to significant successes including two FA Cup victories. He died peacefully in Monaco, surrounded by family.
